Lost Wallet Returned from 8,000 Miles Away

Many people have lost their wallets and found them later; but this Korean man had his wallet returned from another country, thousands of miles away.

Mr. J. W. Joh was working at General Motors in Seoul, Korea. Last summer, he was inspecting a new Chevrolet Aveo before it shipped to New York and accidentally dropped his wallet in the car.

The wallet started its long journey from Seoul all the way across the Pacific Ocean, then on the cargo train to Buffalo New York. In total it traveled over 8,000 miles.

Joh was so bummed, the wallet was a present from his wife and he thought he would never see it again. What he didn’t know was the car dealer in NY found his wallet during the presale inspection.

Besides Jon’s driver’s license, credit cards and family picture, they also found his employee ID card, so the dealer sent the wallet back to GM headquarters.

In December, the manager Charlie Mott at GM went to Seoul for business and returned the wallet to Joh in person.

Joh was very touched.
