A kangaroo named Mao Mao had to get emergency treatment after it was wounded by a stick thrown into its home by tourists to the Changsha Zoo in the capital of Hunan Province early this week.

The stick hit Mao Mao’s chin, causing it to bleed. Vets immediately treated Mao Mao and gave it some painkillers.

Mao Mao is one of three kangaroos that the zoo has recently imported from Australia. Mao Mao has become a star of the zoo.

No one at the zoo could remember another incident of an animal being injured by an object thrown by a visitor.
