Chinese Bat Boy sells ads on wings

Young man from Guangdong Province dressed like a bat in downtown Beijing on New Year’s Day, saying he would charge any client between 50 and 100 yuan ($6.40 to $12.80) to carry advertisements on the wings.

The man, who called himself Mr Not Short, braved the minus 6 degree temperature to wear a vest and wings made from two green umbrellas.

He said that he had been in Beijing for more than two months, doing odd jobs. Many people said they liked looking at him because he had only short-sleeved shirts on in the winter, which prompted him to earn some money by dressing himself like a bat, he said.
