Motorist fined for Chopper Chase

A man was fined 200 yuan (US$25) and received three demerit points after driving his car at high speed to chase a helicopter flying along an expressway in the city of Jingzhou, Hubei Province, on Monday.

The incident took place at 1:35pm when the man, Wei, spotted a helicopter flying 10 metres above his car on his way home from Xiangfan to Jingzhou.

Wei accelerated, wanting to race the helicopter, but he was stopped by police for speeding 10 kilometres later.
