Dog executions to begin in China: Owners terrified

In Beijin, China, the government despite, thousands of people protesting, said that all the pet dogs over 35cm high will be caught and terminated. The reason is bigger dogs tend to be more aggressive to humans, making more noise and also causing more environmental issues. Many pet owners are facing the big fear of this coming “dog culture revolutionâ€Â.
Lots of pet owners will have to hide their dogs or move them to their relatives or friends in other cities so their pet will not get killed. “It’s very un-humanitarian killing dogs like this.†The police will come door to door checking if any oversized dog has hidden in the houses; they even offer rewards to people who turns their neighbors in.

I like dogs but in crowded asian cities they ARE too much. Recently in Asia it was widespread that they were eaten like the chickens and roosters they often shared the small yard with. Globalization seems to have lessened this eating. Asian dogs often lead short lives and die miserable deaths as people don’t feel they can afford vaccinations or euthanasia.
The facts are that small dogs attack more people annually than large dogs.
I cannot comment on the Chinese government’s decision, but I think it is sad that the people have no say. How long before the people decide enough is enough?
I still think that dog culls in China is wrong and pointless. They accuse dogs to have rabies, but what about the other animals that they purchase from the live markets, how do the government of china know that its the dogs that are the culprit that are transmitting rabies. For all you know it could have been an animal someone bought alive from the market like a civet or cat or bat or anything that can harbor rabies and might have either bit them while it was being killed or by the blood spewed from the animal when slaughtered. Their justification is slaughter they don’t care whether someone dies of rabies. Hell, these people kill their own people. They want people in china to have small dogs and the larger dogs they collect and eat… But I do believe what comes around goes around….
