Now Hiring: Employees who can take a beating

(中国日报) – A company in Kunming, Yunnan Province, is advertising for “specialist” employees whose role will be to endure beatings from its clients.

The firm is offering the successful candidates 200 yuan (US$25) for each 5-minute beating.

The company said the service would allow its clients to vent their anger by knocking about its “well-trained” staff.

But a lawyer said if the company hires staff for this purpose it will be violating their rights, urging authorities to ban the practice immediately.
