Friendly greeting ends with a broken neck
(ä¸Â国日报) - A man’s neck was fractured when a former classmate greeted him with a bear hug in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, last week.
Shi bumped into his former classmate, Li, on the street last Thursday. Li was so excited to see his friend after so long that he greeted him with an extremely enthusiastic bear hug.
Shi heard an unusual sound in his neck and was unable to move it, but he didn’t want to upset Li so he pretended nothing was wrong.
But the pain became unbearable when Shi returned home, and he was sent to hospital for emergency surgery.
