Hong Kong puts your face on stamps

(中国日报) – Hong Kong Post introduced a series of templates on Tuesday to be used to create personalized postage stamps, which consumers can pick according to their taste or the purpose of the letter on which they are used.

One needs to provide his or her mug shot and words to the post office to be put on the chosen template(s). Finished products will be ready to collect a few days later.

However, the post office has set a minimum of 20 sheets (400 stamps) for providing the service, which cost more than HK$1,200.

Some residents told reporters they were tempted to try it in the near future, while most people snubbed the idea as not worth the price.
