Old lady refuses to keep 3 million

(毎日イãÆ’³ã‚¿ãÆ’©ã‚¯ãÆ’†ã‚£ãÆ’–) – TOYOTA, Aichi — An elderly couple were surprised to find a bag containing 3 million yen in cash in the kitchen of their home here Monday afternoon, police said Tuesday.

At about 12:25 p.m. on Monday, an 85-year-old woman came home in Toyota to find a paper bag containing three bundles of 100 million yen and confectionery in the kitchen, and alerted police.

The woman and her 90-year-old husband told investigators that the money is not theirs. Local police are treating the cash as a lost article and are searching for its owner.
