As a child its common and "OK" to play "dress-up", why do some feel disturbed by this when young adults are expressing a form of creativity and searching for some non-harmfull attention. Why is play seen as "bad" by some...? Would you try to laugh in a nasty way at a child who's looking for attention by dressing up? isn't it normal to play? even for the less young? (even my old cat loves to play... is that bad?)
