Family waits 7 years for dead to rise

In Taiwan, a sister and a brother had kept their dead mother’s body at home for seven years in hopes that one day she would come back to life. Seven years ago, their 80 year old mother died in her sleep. Her son Lin had heard that people can come back to live after they died for seven years. He and his sister kept their mother’s body in an air conditioned room and took care of her as of if she was still alive.

Lin has six siblings, besides the one sister, who didn’t even know their mother had died. Every holiday when the siblings would come to visit, he would tell them that mother was elsewhere. Finally the local government informed them that their mother needed to have her ID renewed, Lin realized that this can no longer be kept secrect. He decided to call the police and had his mother be rightly buried.
