I believe there are other cases of children who did not survive. This surgury is still very new to technology. The 11 year old gets it....research "first" before you give your views. I am not a strong enough person to take on such a challenge. If we were all honest with ourselves we would admit that in the place of these parents most of us probably would've done the same thing. By giving her up they gave her the best advantage in life within their abilities. Judge not folks, no matter what we like to believe we never really know what we would do in such situations until that situation is forced upon us.
