Businessman Snaps Up Gigantic Crabs at Auction
A Wenzhou businessman spent $2,466 on a pair of huge crabs at an auction in Nanjing last week as gifts for his parents on the occasion of Double Ninth Festival, a day for the elderly.
The two crabs, weighing 1 pound and .6 pounds respectively, were granted the title of the “king and queen of the crabs” at a crab festival in mid-October.
The businessman surnamed Xu, who had been worrying about what to get for his parents, was inspired to buy the crabs when he heard an auction was being held.
