(中国日报) – A mother in Xiamen, Fujian Province, who was robbed 25,000 yuan (US$3,082) several weeks ago, was heartbroken to discover it was her son who plotted the robbery.

Son Huang found himself in financial difficulty after a friend he had borrowed money to disappeared as the date to repay the loans neared.

Lacking the cash to repay the loans, Huang first tried to steal the money from his parents himself.

When he failed he then arranged for two teenage friends to rob his mother as she was on her way back from the bank.

The two robbers were caught on the spot, and told police that it was Huang who had plotted the robbery. The three teenagers are now serving jail sentences.
