Man’s 100-plus suicide attempts continue to fail

(中国日报) A man was rescued from hanging himself on a tree in Nanjing on Monday, marking 100-plus failed attempts at suicide over the past three years.

Shi, from Ningbo of Zhejiang Province, divorced his wife in 2003. Afterward, the middle-aged man felt his life to be meaningless and decided to end it. Since 2003, he has tried to kill himself more than 100 times but has always been rescued.

Police are now investigating Shi’s case.
